10 years of commitment to protecting the environment

Since 2015, the Maisons du Monde Foundation has been working alongside grassroots associations to protect trees and forests around the world. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we invite you to discover our actions and journey into the heart of the forests with us! Whether in the forest, countryside, or city, trees are silent yet essential pillars of our planet’s balance: they shelter life, protect the soil, and regulate the climate. That’s why, for the past 10 years, we’ve been working hand in hand with committed grassroots organizations to preserve trees and forests.
From April 16 to 26, in honor of Earth Day, Maisons du Monde customers, employees, and the general public will be able to celebrate this anniversary through a dedicated program taking place both online and in stores.
Coming up
- Our solidarity book, “Journeys into the Heart of the Forests” (French, Italian and Spanish only), created in collaboration with Le Petit Futé, takes us across the globe to meet women and men who live in harmony with the forest through the projects we support. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to associations committed to forest preservation: Cœur de Forêt in France, the University of Milan in Italy, and the Plant for the Planet Foundation in Spain.
- Inspiring videos, available on our social media channels, offer a closer look at our commitments and the various projects we support around the world — with the Jane Goodall Institute in Tanzania, Cœur de Forêt in Indonesia, Des Enfants et des Arbres in France, and the Plant for the Planet Foundation in Spain.
- On April 26, 2025, in a selection of Maisons du Monde stores, special events will be held to raise awareness among customers, including kokedama-making workshops, screenings of our inspiring videos, and other surprises! For our employees, “green days” will be organized in four cities across France in September 2025.
Through this 10-year celebration, we have three goals: to raise awareness about our commitments, educate on the importance of tree preservation, and encourage everyone to take action alongside us!
