“Aux Arbres!”: Tree planting to raise awareness amongst Maisons du Monde customers of the importance of protecting forests and trees

Off the back of "Aux Arbres!" week, held online and at Maisons du Monde stores from 2 to 6 June 2021, we invited customers to help plant trees in three regions of France with the Fonds pour l'Arbre tree fund. Let's find out about these events! During “Aux Arbres!” week, Maisons du Monde customers who bought a forest-friendly product (from a selection) were invited to tree planting events organised in partnership with the Fonds pour l’Arbre tree fund. The goal? To give customers the chance to join us in fighting to protect forests and trees in France!
What's involved?
Accompanied by their family or friends, Maisons du Monde customers planted trees in three regions of France: 20 November in Wavrin (59), 4 December in Brie-Comte-Robert (77) and 11 December in Bouaye (44).
The events were split into three parts:
- A welcome address raising awareness of the importance of preserving forests and hedgerows in France, during which participants can enjoy a hot drink
- Tree planting and mulching
- A relaxed meal with all participants
Through these events, Maisons du Monde customers helped to plant 10,000 trees in rural areas with the Fonds pour l’Arbre tree fund and thus made their own contribution to preserving biodiversity and fighting climate change. It’s great news for trees!
